Rules of game.
Reversi - popular game for two players. The game field represents a
64-cellular board in the size 8x8 the squares called cells. Eight
vertical lines of cells refer to as "verticals". Eight horizontal lines
of cells - accordingly, "horizontals". With the purpose of record of
courses of game each square has an own designation. If to
look at a board on the part of the player black horizontals are
numbered from below upwards by figures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and
verticals are numbered from left to right by lower case latin letters:
a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h. The name of a cell consists of a letter -
column and a figure - line. So, for example, the left bottom square
has numbering a1, and right top - numbering h8.
In an initial position two white and two black chesspieces settle down
in four central squares on a diagonal.
At one of players of a chesspiece of white color, and at another -
black color. The player with black chesspieces goes the first,
opponents do(make) courses by turns. In the course each of players
exposes on a game field one chesspiece so that between it and other
chesspieces of his color appeared one or several chesspieces of the
opponent, on a vertical, a horizontal or a diagonal. The chesspieces
of the opponent surrounded thus (that is all chesspieces of other color
which have appeared between just put and chesspieces earlier worth on
a board of the player) on all directions change the color on opposite.
Each course should be productive, that is with each course the player
is obliged to surround even one chesspiece of the opponent. Empty
(not productive) courses are forbidden. If one of players does not
have opportunity to make a productive course the right of a course
automatically passes to the opponent. And so until the player does not
have an opportunity of a course.
Game comes to an end, when all field is completely filled with
chesspieces or when on a field there are free cells, but one of
players does not have opportunity to carry out a course. Wins thus
that player who had more chesspieces.
If upon termination of game number of chesspieces from each of the
parties equally the party is considered drawn. Besides at any moment
of game during the course the player can offer a drawn game, having
pressed on the appropriate button. The opponent can agree to a drawn
game therefore game is immediately finished. If the opponent has
rejected a drawn game, the player should make the course.
